BHEL installs country’s first EV charging station on Delhi-Chandigarh Highway

Motions through light

BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited), a state-owned firm, has set up an EV charging station on the Delhi-Chandigarh Highway this week. This is not the firm’s first EV-related project. They have already set up DC charging stations in a few places in New Delhi and are planning to set up several DC chargers in locations across India.

Furthermore, according to a release by BHEL, they are planning on setting up Charging stations along the 250-kilometre Delhi-Chandigarh highway at regular intervals. In addition, BHEL has announced that they are planning to set up more charging stations and manufacture electric buses and the components needed.

To help customers with EVs find charging stations along the Highway, the company has developed an app that could be installed on mobile phones which will help them locate chargers.

With Volt Wheelz, I will be able to share my knowledge and information about automobiles, particularly electric vehicles and everything about the EV field with others and probably even learn something new from this experience.
